Saw the show last weekend, stopped in with some old friends and met a few new ones. Now it’s time to gear up for the upcoming season. Not letting a little snow dampen the spirit! Saw my old buddy Al Gag or “Al Gags Custom Fishing Lures” who I’ve known since our early days when I owned The Fisherman’s Outfitter back in the 80’s. Al is still going strong and still coming out with new and innovative lures today. We’re stocking up on his new stuff this winter!
Captain Jim Koutalakis from On Time Charters, or “Jimmy the Greek” as some people know him, was there working the Black Hole booth with a very interesting presentation on Black Holes phenomenal rods. Jimmy will again be taking out clients on the cape and we will work closely with him.
I also stopped in the Raymarine booth and met with the regional rep Bill Jones, who was instrumental in helping Operation Reel Heroes get of the ground with their huge sponsorship to the event I am involved in with Arthur Johnson and 120 friends and incredible volunteers. We’re looking forward to the 2017 event coming up in June on the Cape.
The boat is still covered up but our reels are being serviced by Shimano and we’ve added some new custom rod and reel combos to our arsenal for this upcoming season.
It won’t be long now, we are booking trips for June – October on Cape Cod. Book early for best available dates!
